Treasures from Afghanistan

Last month I went to the Art Gallery in Sydney to see the Afghanistan Treasures that were savedfrom the Wars that they have envisaged over time.  The were hidden underneath the Museum in Kabul capital of Afghanistan.  I love the beautiful jewellery and glass that has been saved.

A new purchase by the Art Gallery, it is quite impressive.

The glasses were put together after they found them.

This piece has been put together through three wars, the Taliban do not like any part of a body to be shown and tried to destroyed them.

The World should thank the people who saved this wonderful collection for all to see.

Paragliding on the Northern Beaches

Went to see if there was any whales, it is the month for them to migrate up north to Queensland to mate and calf, no whales but did manage to have para gliders there, I managed to get some great photos of them gliding.

Sitting there in the beautiful sunshine was so good, a very warm day for winter, and glorious to watch.

I hope you have enjoyed some these photos.

Waterfall Cottage on the Northern Beaches

Waterfall Cottage is one of those gems that I had no idea of.  Each Saturday mornings I listen to the radio first thing before getting out of bed, one morning the radio person interviewed a lady about the cottage, I was determined to go and see it, it was only open that day of the year.  I asked a close friend Jan to come as well.  We were very impressed, it almost reminded us of an English Cottage.  Didn't take any photos of the cottage full on as I felt it to be an intrusion of her privacy, so I took photos of the wonderful garden, she and her husband had passionately done for many years.

Nice biscuits and coffee or tea at the, really enjoyed the day.

Whales & Cormorants at Pool

Each morning there is something different at the pool, this time it is whales in the distance and the Cormorants nesting.  This is the first I have seen them nest in all the years I have swum at the pool.

My Beautiful Area Northern Beaches Sydney

I am passionate where I live, by the photos you will see why. Each day when I go swimming in the morning every day is different even when I swim in the winter months as well. You will see by the colour of the photos how each day can be different, not always blue.
