Gerringong & Stanwel Tops South Coast

We had been visiting our family at Narrawallee for our 8th grandchild's 2nd birthday, it was just a small family one. We went and saw them doing their nippers at Mollymook beach, then left to make our way home back to Sydney. On our way we decided to stop off at Gerringong for a breakfast and coffee, we noticed at lovely cafe with great views of Gerringong. We decided to make a day of it looking at another place, Stanwel Tops, well we were in luck, hang-gliders were out, the wind was just right for them..

"The Shack"

In my local area there are musicians who had a venue called "The Shack". They started in the 1960's then it seemed to fade away, it is now going again. Dave and I went to see them the other week, these are photos of the night, we really enjoyed it.
These musicians are very good singers and players.

Off to The Biennale at Cockatoo Island Sydney

Every year I like to go to Cockatoo Island mainly around the Biennale time. This year I went with my friend Jan, she was really impressed with the exhibition. This year they had interaction with the people, Jan had a go on some of the equipment which was all human energy. We went by ferry which I love because Sydney is never boring to look at and it changes all the time. Below is the coloured sheds they look great, before they had very boring colours.
These are the tugs my husband worked on for years.

Exhibition of the Australian Rock Group "MIDNIGHT OIL"

Midnight Oil the Aussie band of the 1700s was an icon band, it sung about environmental and big social issues. One of the band members had saved heaps of memorabilia in his attic. I went to see this Exhibition at the Manly Art & Museum Centre.
