My Beautiful Area Northern Beaches Sydney

I am passionate where I live, by the photos you will see why. Each day when I go swimming in the morning every day is different even when I swim in the winter months as well. You will see by the colour of the photos how each day can be different, not always blue.

Manly Jazz Festival for 2013

After the exciting day and night in the city, I decided the next day Sunday to go to Manly on my own, (my sister and her hubby were going back to the Central Coast where they live) for their JAZZ Festival.  Had a lovely time there, only took a few photos, here they are.  If you are into JAZZ you should go to this festival, it is on every October long weekend, there are jazz musicians from Manly Wharf to the through the Corso to the beach and they all have their own different takes on jazz.

100 Years of the 1st Australian Navy Fleet Celebrations with Fireworks.

After the day watching the Tall Ships coming into the Sydney Harbour I decided to go again to see the Navy ships and fireworks on the harbour with my Sister and her husband.  When we were looking for a spot to stay for the afternoon evening we picked where Prince Harry was going to go to catch a boat somewhere around the harbour, we didn't even know he was going to be there, we just wanted a good spot, as you will see in one of the photos how many people were there.
I have never seen Navy ships going up the coast where I live before, quite a sight.
Wow!! didn't this jet make a noise.
High presents of police for Prince Harry below.

Prince Harry greeting the people.
Rhapsody of the Sea leaving just before the fireworks.

Where we were is just a small amount of people around the harbour, we had a great spot for the fireworks.

Even the Navy boat go into the action, it had fireworks going off it as well.

I am amazed that these photos were taken on my mobile phone, my really good Canon Camera doesn't come up anywhere as good.

What a great afternoon and night we had.

Tall Ships arrive for the Navy 100 years Celebrations

I decided to join hundreds of other people on the harbour for to see the Tall Ships come into Sydney Harbour to start the 11 days of celebrations for the Navy's 100 years when Australia had a navy fleet of its own.  I went on my own expecting a beautiful day but alas it rained and small hail, so you will see that some of the photos seem misty.  I must say I was very disappointed that they didn't have their sail up.
This great big snail is one of the exhibitions around Sydney for the celebrations.
Delicious Pumpkin Soup I had while watching the Tall Ships coming into Sydney Harbour.
Great display of the Sydney Port tug at the start the arrival of the Tall Ships.

The light colour little tall ship I saw that morning after my swim and having coffee going along the off the coast where I live, alas being the smallest it arrived the last.
Hope you enjoyed my photos.
